About

Speaker Dust Cleaner is a free browser tool that plays audio tones to help shake dust and water out of a phone speaker.

Why this site exists

A blocked speaker is a small problem with a surprisingly annoying effect. Calls sound distant, music goes flat, and most people assume the phone is failing when the real cause is lint from a pocket or a droplet of water sitting in the grille.

Most of the tools that address this are mobile apps that ask for permissions, show adverts between every action, or charge for something that takes twenty seconds. This site does the same job in a browser tab, with nothing to install and no account to create.

How the tool works

A phone speaker produces sound by vibrating a small diaphragm. At low frequencies that diaphragm moves further and shifts more air, which loosens particles resting on the grille and pushes water outwards. The tool generates those frequencies directly in your browser using the Web Audio API, so no audio file is downloaded and nothing is stored.

Three modes are offered: a sweep for dust, a pulsed low tone for water, and a wider sweep for a more thorough pass. Full detail is on the main page.

What it will not do

This tool moves loose material. It cannot repair a speaker that has been physically damaged, replace a failed component, or fix distortion caused by a software fault. If several cycles make no difference, the problem is something a repair technician needs to look at.
